Fruitlook Premium
The premium version of Fruitlook gives you some extra features, which are described below.
Weather forecast
The application header contains a summary of the weather forecast for your farm. Clicking on it opens a popup with information for a few days ahead. Parameters provided are maximum temperature (°C), summed precipitation (mm) and windspeed (km/h).
The weather forecast is also available from the details tab of the field detail page.
Weather data is provided by Open Meteo and a resolution of 12 km.
Field filtering
Field filtering is added on the Field list page and adds select boxes that enable you to filter the fields on the page by crop, variety, and start growing month.
Click "Clear filters" to reset all filters.
Farms management
Farms management is located in the Farm selector. Where you would usually click a farm group to select it, you can now click the pencil to open up farm management for that group.
This dialog shows the name of the farm group, the name of the farms in it, and the fields within these farms. Clicking the pencil lets you change the name of the item, while clicking the chain icon right next to a field lets you move the field to another farm.
And of course you can also add and delete farms here. Only a farm without fields can be deleted.
Field sharing
The idea of field sharing is based on social media, where you share a picture or a page with someone else. In this case you share a field with another Fruitlook user. That is, you make it available for the other user to see. The other user can't make changes to it.
Share your field with a consultant so that he/she can look at it and give advice.
Field sharing is available from the Field list page. Select a field from its dropdown menu at the end of the row, or check multiple fields and choose "Share fields" from the select box.
Fill in the name of the user you want to share the fields with. Multiple users is also possible. And click "Share fields".
Let the other user know that you shared your fields with them. They will see the fields only when the application has synchronized data. This happens every twelve hours, or whenever they log in. It can also be done with the "Sync data from server" button in the application header.
When the other user now selects a farm, he/she will now also see your farm, and have view-only access to the fields you shared. The fields will be marked with an asterisk (*) on the map, and all modify-buttons are disabled.
To unshare the fields, choose "Unshare" from the dropdown menu.
Decision support
The idea behind Decision support is to automate certain daily checks so you don't have to do them manually. You tell the platform what to look for, by creating a rule, and the platform will perform the check for you. An automated rule checker will check each field daily to see if the conditions of each rule matches. All matching fields will be reported to you by email, which you receive just after 7 o'clock in the morning.
For example, if you're interested in the first day that a field has an accumulated biomass of over 10.000 kg/hectare, you can configure a rule to check this daily, and send you an email to inform you when threshold is crossed.
Decision support is descibed in full on this page.
